Concert by the Visegrád String Quartet

The V4 String Quartet was founded in 2021 and its members come from Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. It regularly performs at renowned European festivals and attaches particular importance to ensuring that the works of composers from this region are also heard in an international context. For its debut in Stuttgart, the quartet will perform a comprehensive selection of György Kurtág's works for string quartet. The evening is a tribute to the hundred-year-old composer, whose life's work expresses the music of the 20th and 21st centuries in a concentrated and profound form. At the same time, the concert invites the audience to enter into a dialog with the musical thinking of our time and offers an insight into Kurtág's extremely personal and yet universal world of sound.
With: Miranda Liu, Daniel Rumler, Tomas Krejbich and Bartos Koziak
