fine feeling for the perfect vibe at the right moment. Whether on small
club stages or big festivals - the Collective unites artists, from
established acts to newcomers, and brings them together live to tear down
and create a unique live experience. Beats, bars and
jams that stick with you and stay with you for a long time - a must for everyone who loves
hip hop!
On this evening, the Urban Beats Collective features two outstanding
artists from the German-speaking hip hop scene: GALV and Classic der Dicke.
GALV, rapper from Rottweil with Italian roots, is known for his
unmistakable flow, his mix of funk, jazz and classic
boom bap as well as his impressive feestyle skills. With albums such as Shigeo
(with S. Fidelity), Villa Sanduche (with Defekto) and Transrapid (with Figub
Brazlevič), he has firmly established himself in the German-speaking hip hop scene.
Classic der Dicke, a rapper and producer with Swiss roots, has stood for authentic, handmade hip hop for
almost two decades. With releases
on labels such as Daily Concept and Krekpek Records, productions for big names
such as Plusmacher, Kwam E and Die P, as well as numerous acclaimed solo and
collabo albums (Grüne Eminenz, 1990, Empire), he is a permanent fixture in the
scene.
Together with the UBC, this evening will be a unique live
experience in which beats, bars and improvisation merge - a hip-hop
show in its purest form!
