The Christmas classic - but surprisingly different!

Four trumpets, four worlds of sound: Historical trumpets take center stage in this year's Christmas concert. Russell Gilmour, renowned British specialist and soloist on our recording of the Brandenburg Concertos (Berlin Classics), will be traveling from England with cornett, natural trumpet, piccolo trumpet and modern trumpet. Together with Jörg Halubek on the organ, he will perform works by English and German composers. The different instruments make the tonal development of the trumpet just as audible as the stylistic metamorphoses of baroque festive music - between representative splendor and quiet intimacy.
