Why the Christ Child can sleep best to the sound of the oboe
Michael Gusenbauer from Salzburg has written a version of J. S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio for children. Based on this model, he explains which instruments and which music go with which parts of the text, why the trumpet is the royal instrument and which instruments can be heard when the angels fly down to earth.
We cordially invite all children aged 4-5 to an enjoyable hour with our boys' choir, the soloists and a baroque orchestra - an exciting first encounter with the Christmas Oratorio by J. S. Bach.
Singing, music and storytelling:
Michael Gusenbauer, narrator
Marion Eckstein, alto
Moritz Kallenberg, tenor
