Werkstatthaus Open Studios Tag 2026 – „In Arbeit“

Under this year's motto "In Work", the Werkstatthaus invites you to experience artistic processes where they are created: in the midst of doing.

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 13:00 to 18:00, the workshops will open their doors and provide insights into works in progress, experiments and questions. Visitors are invited to take a look behind the scenes, learn about working methods and trace the path from material to form.

At 15:30, there will be a guided tour with the workshop management. In addition, discussions with the workshop managers from the fields of textiles, sculpture, media, painting, photography, ceramics, printing (screen printing / risography) and etching will enable a direct exchange about artistic methods, techniques and current projects. The focus is not on the finished work, but on the process itself - searching, discarding and developing.

An accompanying gastronomic offer creates space for encounters, exchange and lingering together in an open atmosphere.

The event will conclude at 17:00 with a cello recital "In Bach's Shadow" with Hrvoje Hrešć in the VA room in the basement. The program includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach and György Ligeti.
