The Theater in der Badewanne presents the puppet show "How Zorba the cat taught the little seagull to fly" based on the children's book by Luis Sepúlveda. The good-natured tomcat Zorbas promises a dying seagull that he will protect her egg and teach the chick to fly - a story about friendship and promises.

The herring gull Kengah is desperate. Her feathers are covered in oil.
With the last of her strength, she manages to land on the balcony of a house in Hamburg's harbor district. There she meets Zorbas, a fat black tomcat, and asks him for three things:
not to eat the egg she is about to lay, to look after it until the gull chick hatches and to teach the little gull to fly.

Zorbas gives his word of honor and sets off to get help. When he returns, Kengah is already dead, but she has left behind an egg and promises must be kept, according to the Hamburg harbor cats' code of honor!
