Lecture with Prof. Dr. Kristina F. Wolff in the FEM 01 series and the Chaos Computer Club Stuttgart series

According to the Federal Criminal Police Office, there were statistically only 4 days in 2023 on which no woman was murdered in Germany. The 361 officially recorded, completed femicides only represent the bright field known to the police. The trend of previous years is thus continuing: the number of criminally relevant crimes of gender-specific violence carried out specifically against girls and women is rising steadily over the years. All crimes are based on mechanisms of violence that are structural and traditional and therefore so deeply rooted in our society that we hardly notice the underlying patterns. Behavior patterns that shape generations, as well as claims to power and control, are at least approved of within our families, within our society, within our professional worlds, within our authorities and institutions, and supported by media coverage that favors perpetrators. if we continue to ignore the underlying patterns and fail to work on powerful instruments, the spiral of violence will continue across generations and perforate our democratic society with even more suffering, costs, loss of values and brutality.

Prof. Dr. Kristina F. Wolff talks about how Germany condones violence against women and how the 4th violence, the media, fuels this perpetration.
