Pandora’s Box—a dynamic play about the making of a new film adaptation of this ancient story. At the heart of the story is a mysterious wooden box (a tin box simply seemed too small to us) that conceals a dangerous secret. A spooky storage facility where objects suddenly come to life. On one side are five young, ambitious actresses who are determined to play Pandora—the most beautiful woman of her time—at any cost. On the other side is a ruthless director who, together with her devoted assistant, pulls all the strings behind the scenes and makes the actresses dance to her tune. A bitter power struggle behind the scenes begins. But beware: Not everyone is what they seem, not everything is as it appears, and not everything that is said is true. Our play explores the themes of appearance and reality, enmity and friendship, as well as the thought-provoking question of where our innate human curiosity can actually lead us.
