Daniel Roncari - INNER:PLANT - structured and intense
It can be quiet for years. Whether due to external circumstances or self-inflicted. Nevertheless, something is there. All it needs is the right moment. And with the right attention, something emerges.
Daniel Roncari's compositions move between structure and freedom, tradition and discovery, always in the flow of the creative moment.
Music sounds like where you come from, what you are and perhaps where you are still going. There is no destination, there is no need for a definition, only the path is important.

Space In Between - intuitive and constructed
From jazz standards deconstructed under the influence of Jaques Derrida and assembled into new compositions, to free jazz greats such as Ornette Coleman and Wadada Leo Smith, to experiments borrowed from new music, the music of Space In Between incorporates everything and transforms it into its own sound.
This music aims to transcend pigeonholes, to open them up, to make them superfluous. The result is an elegantly formulated hybrid of experimental, improvised and "new music".
Always on the lookout in this way, Marco Sickinger (drums, composition), Daniel Sauer (tenor saxophone) and Nicolas Buvat (double bass) explore the meaning and function(s) of improvisation in real time, especially in relation to compositional elements. This also implies the experimental renegotiation of central musical parameters.
Of comparable importance to Space In Between is the opening and shifting of boundaries beyond the purely musical. As "Space In Between extended", the project invites artists from non-musical arts such as performance to expand the spectrum of spaces for action and negotiation. For the debut album, which will be released on Blassrot Records (Berlin) in 2025, the trio expanded into a quartet with vibraphonist Christopher Dell.
