How does Santa manage to be everywhere at once every year? at the same time every year? And why has nobody seen him yet? Is quantum physics his secret? In the Christmas lecture of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Space (DLR), we will be looking for an answer on December 15, 2025 at 6 p.m. in Stuttgart City Hall.
In the German Aerospace Center's (DLR) Christmas lecture, we will be looking for an answer.
Prof. Kai Bongs from the DLR Institute of Quantum Technologies takes us
on an interactive journey into the bizarre world of quanta. There
things can suddenly disappear and reappear in another place
or be in several places at the same time. But if you
try to observe them, they won't reveal their secret -
just like Santa Claus. Just because we can't see him,
doesn't mean he doesn't exist...
Discover the quantum world for yourself.
After the lecture, you can immerse yourself in the quantum world in a playful way at the DLR quantum game stations
and round off the evening with
punch and cookies.
Admission is free of charge.
