Workshop: Carolin Callies: » Insta? Poesie!«

"we seep into each other / as if we were rain", writes Munich poet Carina Eckl on Instragram under her pseudonym "kursives_Ich" in typewriter font. In the infinity of the feed stream, we pause for a moment here - and ask ourselves: is this just a conventional poem in digital guise? Or something completely different? How have successful poets like Rupi Kaur managed to reach millions of people? And how do you actually write these tiny sentences in verse form for the web? In the workshop "Insta? Poetry!" workshop, we want to discover the world of Instagram poetry and see how these texts differ from classic poems - through their brevity, their immediate emotional impact and their interplay with visual elements. Through many small and practical exercises, we will try out together how our own experiences can be transformed into Instapoetry.
