Workshop without final presentation as part of the 14th Stuttgart Choir Days

What makes a choir really rousing? When everyone feels the same groove. When rhythm is not just counted, but experienced together.

This is exactly what you will work on in this workshop with Johannes Jäck. You can look forward to an exciting mixture of rhythmic feeling, body awareness and musical precision. In addition to more challenging passages, it's all about the basics: how does rhythm actually come about - and how do we manage to really share it in the choir?

A particular highlight is the world of the human beatbox, which is becoming increasingly important in modern choral singing - especially in the pop sector. It gives songs energy, depth and that irresistible drive that immediately gets into your ears and legs.
Johannes Jäck will show you in a practical way how you can effectively integrate beatbox into your choir. You will get to know the most important sounds, try out microphone techniques and develop simple beats and patterns together that can be incorporated directly into your repertoire - even without much previous experience.

A workshop for anyone who wants to feel the pulse of the music and get their choir grooving!

Target group: Choir singers and conductors who want to try out new things and incorporate ideas into their own choral practice
