Lecture with Rainer Moritz
The irresistible allure of a bookshop, the lure of an antiquarian bookshop and the (un)happiness of reading: Rainer Moritz is an author, literary critic and translator. He ran the Literaturhaus Hamburg for twenty years. And above all, he is a man who has been fascinated by book places of all kinds since childhood. He has often written about them, for example in "Die schönsten Buchhandlungen Europas", "Leseparadiese. A declaration of love to the bookshop" or
"Das Buch zum Buch", and now he talks about it. His entertaining talk tells of the most memorable experiences he has had in bookshops and second-hand bookshops, of treasures he has found, of strange ghosts sitting on books and, last but not least, of the very special people who are still not afraid to run a bookshop or second-hand bookshop.
A joint event of Antiquaria Ludwigsburg and the Stuttgart Antiquarian Book Fair in cooperation with the Literaturhaus Stuttgart
