ZEKE | Thrash-Punk-Rock'n'Roll from the "Godfathers of Speedrock" from Seattle
Their first single was entitled "West Seattle Acid Party" and was released in 1993, shortly after the band had come together in that very city - and made it clear that, despite the time and place of their formation, these guys wanted nothing to do with the whiny post-grunge sound that was common there at the time. Instead, the motorsport-mad brute rockers focused on turbo-charged high-speed punk rock'n'roll and were celebrated as the "Godfathers of Speedrock". But at the start of the new millennium, the band disappeared from the scene... only to make a brilliant return in 2017! They have never sounded more aggressive than they do today, and their hyper-fast thrash punk with a hardcore and metal edge is still free of any signs of wear and tear a few hundred thousand kilometers later. Merciless riffs, explosive drums and venomous vocals condense into tracks that leave scorched earth in their wake and are inspired by MOTÖRHEAD, BLACK FLAG and the RAMONES in equal measure.
