ZSK - "Fire & Paper"
ZSK are back - and with a vengeance. "Feuer & Papier", the eighth studio album by the four Berliners, will be released on September 26, 2025. At a time when democracy in Germany is under pressure and right-wing populist movements are gaining influence, ZSK provide the soundtrack for the protest.
"We wanted to make an album that accompanies people in these tough times," explains Joshi, frontman of ZSK. "Whether it's about personal struggles or social protest - we want to show that no one is alone."
Punk rock as an attitude
ZSK stand for much more than catchy punk rock anthems. For over two decades, the band has combined their music with political commitment. They are the founders of KEIN BOCK AUF NAZIS, the largest youth organization against right-wing extremism in Germany. With campaigns, concerts and statements, they actively campaign against right-wing extremist structures - an attitude that is consistently reflected in their music. Two top 5 placings in the German album charts, sold-out tours and a steadily growing fan base. This year, they will also be performing on the stages of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park - a further indication that punk rock has by no means lost its relevance in Germany.
Cross-generational fans and international tours
While younger fans discovered the band through social media, many have been following them since the early 2000s. This mix is also reflected at their concerts: teenagers stand in front of the stage alongside long-time fans - all united by the same message.
But ZSK are by no means just a German phenomenon. With tours in Japan, Greece and across Europe, they have proven that their music also has an international appeal.
The sound of the present
With "Feuer & Papier", ZSK are consistently continuing on their path. The album combines catchy melodies with powerful messages. These are songs that encourage, that invite you to sing along - and that remind us that punk rock is always a form of resistance.
2025 will be a groundbreaking year for Germany. While political debates become more heated and social tensions increase, one thing remains clear for ZSK: they will not turn down their voice. "Feuer & Papier" is more than just music - it's a clear message. The album will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally on September 26. The question is not whether it will be heard - but how loud the echo will be on the streets.
