Reading and discussion with Katharina Schlender
Moderator: Thomas Richhardt
How do you write for children and young people today who are growing up with the climate crisis, wars and pressure to perform - in such a way that they feel taken seriously and yet don't go home without hope? Berlin playwright Katharina Schlender has been one of the most important voices in children's and youth theater in the German-speaking world for many years. Her characters stumble through patchwork families, fear of the future and city noise, they refuse to simply go along and discover new forms of courage in the process. On this evening, Schlender will talk to dramaturge Thomas Richhardt about her work on plays such as "HeldenHaft", "Menschenskinder" and "Fahrstuhl zur Treppe". Short, low-threshold writing impulses invite the audience to pick up pen and paper themselves and try out new forms of participation.
