Are the Fan Zones accessible for people with disabilities?

The Fan Zones will be accessible to all fans without restrictions for the disabled. Volunteers and SSB staff will be deployed at the stops around the Fan Zones to provide assistance if required.

Access to the Schlossplatz Fan Zone, where the public viewing will take place, will be possible for people with disabilities at all entrances. There will be three platforms for people with limited mobility and their companions at the public viewing. They provide a good view of the LED wall. As with the rest of the public viewing area, it is not possible to reserve a seat in advance. We therefore recommend arriving in good time. Each person with a mobility impairment can bring one accompanying person.

The remaining fan zones are freely accessible at ground level. The surface of the Fan Zones is wheelchair-accessible and the road crossings are lowered. It should be noted that low cobblestones have been laid in some areas. Barrier-free cable bridges are used. The existing guidance system for the blind on the city side will not be built over.

Elevated areas, such as the Fan Arena on the market square, are equipped with ramps where possible. Selected areas (e.g. terrace, grandstand) offer alternatives where possible (e.g. wheelchair spaces next to the grandstand).
