Besenwirtschaft Gohl bei d’r Elsbeth

Since the early twenties of the last century, Elsbeth's own wine has been served here, still in the same rooms as before, in the farmhouse built by Elsbeth's great-grandfather in 1891. Still a real authentic Besenwirtschaft! It is located in the former winegrower's apartment on the ground floor/ground floor. Taken over by my father Karl Gohl and run since 1987, sometimes with outside service depending on the weather.

...and some things are still like they used to be here...
Everything in the vineyard is done by hand, the wine tavern in the living room, and the opening hours are subject to change depending on the harvest.

At d'r Elsbeth, a dry Trollinger, red, rose or blanc de noir is offered. A fresh Riesling, aromatic Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon round off the range.Merlot and Cabernet are also usually offered for drinking as a full-bodied cuvee after maturing for a year in barrique barrels. All hand-picked wines are matured gently and thus retain their original character.

Swabian specialties such as Maultaschen, Fleischküchle, Spätzle and potato salad are all homemade by d'r Elsbeth and, like the other dishes, are always freshly prepared.
Breaded schnitzel, meatballs or ribs etc. are fried in the pan, because..... you will look in vain for a microwave or deep fryer in this Besenwirtschaft....!

To sum up, it is rare to find the original broom pub atmosphere like here at "d'r Elsbeth" in Stuttgart-Degerloch!

Cheers, and bon appétit
wishes Elsbeth and the whole Besen team
