Fernsehturm Stuttgart (Television Tower)

The Tower’s platforms afford fantastic panoramic views over the Swabian countryside – from the Swabian Alb to the Black Forest and over the centre of Stuttgart: those native to the region will have known the Television Tower since childhood, and of course Swabians are doubly proud of the fact that Stuttgart’s Television Tower was the very first in the world to be built using reinforced concrete. Inaugurated in 1956, it became the prototype for television towers all over the globe. The observation deck at a height of 150 metres has two tiers.
