Hotel | Wirtshaus Garbe

: A Tavern Steeped in History The Garbe Tavern, a staple in Stuttgart’s southernmost outskirt, blends tradition with innovation. It’s a tavern that serves as a gathering place for a wide range of people. We’re delighted to welcome the cycling group that stops by on Saturday afternoons, the longtime Plieningen resident who’s been following our work for 40 years, or the businessman coming straight from the trade show.

We are a tavern and want to keep this tradition alive. We’re known for our sophisticated regional cuisine, rooted in tradition yet infused with modern influences. The garden invites you to linger. And the dining rooms and hotel rooms, furnished with old oak, promise plenty of coziness.

Tradition Meets the Spirit of the Times
’s restaurant, hotel, and beer garden are characterized by innovative, clean-lined design. The ambiance is rustic yet modern. Guests feel its soothing effect from the very first moment of their stay. The restaurant offers regional Swabian dishes and seats 40 guests. The three adjoining rooms, each with a different interior design and seating capacities of 30, 26, and 24, blend harmoniously into the overall setting.

The cozy beer garden seats up to 350 guests under chestnut trees at tables made of oiled acacia wood. In true traditional style, guests pick up their drinks themselves at the historic beverage kiosk. With a small but exquisite selection of wines, freshly tapped specialty beers served in ice-cold stone mugs, and delicious non-alcoholic juice spritzers, there’s something for every guest.

Located in the heart of Stuttgart-Plieningen—near the airport and the Stuttgart Trade Fair grounds.
