It's hard to believe that this used to be right on the edge of Stuttgart, back in the days when the wine growers would come to the Kochenbas after their day's work was done. Stuttgart's inhabitants still keep up the tradition today, and when they sit at the wooden tables in the "snug" of this wine tavern with a Viertele glass of wine and a plate of Sauerbraten mit Spätzle (marinated roast with noodles) it's just as if the clock has been turned back.
