Forest Tranquility and Views of the Kochertal – Circular Hike at Kelterbuckel
The loop hike begins at the Kelterbuckel hiking parking lot and leads straight into a varied landscape of forests and meadows.
Right at the start, a gentle climb awaits, which is rewarded with the first beautiful views and whets your appetite for the rest of the route. The trail initially follows marked routes toward Lichte Platte and then continues along the Frankenberger Sträßchen.
Crossing the Eichelberg, the trail eventually descends through the Weinleswald into the idyllic Dendelbachtal valley. Here, the landscape opens up, inviting you to take a deep breath. Passing through Dendelbach, the route leads back to the starting point below the Beilberg, guided by well-marked trails.
Among the special highlights are the viewpoint at the Landhegturmwith its sweeping view of the Kochertal valley, as well as the peaceful forest sections. A picnic area along the route is ideal for a leisurely break.
Sturdy footwear is recommended, as some sections are steeper. Those walking the tour in the opposite direction should be aware of the challenging ascent to the Eichelberg.
