Panoramic Views and Orchard Meadows – A Relaxing Hike Around Büchelberg

The hike begins at the Allmend parking lot with a relaxed and easy start—perfect for families who want to set out without much planning.

After just a few minutes, a sense of calm sets in: the seclusion and the prevailing silence make this loop particularly relaxing. At first, the trail follows well-maintained paths through meadows and fields. The route then leads along a forest trail before returning to dirt roads around the village of Büchelberg.

Along the way, orchard meadows line the path before you briefly pass through the outskirts of Büchelberg and finally return to the starting point.

In addition to the pleasant route, it’s the open stretches that are particularly captivating:

Time and again, beautiful views open up onto the heights of the Mainhardter Forest and into the Ohrn Valley.

The orchard meadows along the trail are also little treasure troves of biodiversity—depending on the season, they’re especially alive with buzzing, fluttering, and singing.

In dry weather, the tour is easily manageable with a stroller.
