Theater der Altstadt

This Way

in 947 Meter Start Route

The Theater der Altstadt is a professional private theater in Stuttgart. It was founded on November 14, 1958 by Klaus Heydenreich and Elisabeth Justin, making it one of the oldest private theaters in Baden-Württemberg. Susanne Heydenreich has been the director since 1996.

The literary-oriented repertoire combines very different directorial styles and concepts. In addition to comedies, classics and musicals, productions of contemporary stage works complete the cleverly compiled repertoire. With its contemporary-critical plays, the Theater der Altstadt is also regularly invited to guest performances and festivals at home and abroad.
