Wilhelmsplatz

This Way

in 343 Meter Start Route

As the name suggests, Wilhelmsplatz is named after King Wilhelm I of Württemberg. Located between the Heusteig and Leonhardsviertel districts, there are many restaurants and bars around the square. Weekly markets (always on Fridays) and events take place here regularly, such as the popular Hangman's Festival with live music, snacks and drinks. By the way, the somewhat gloomy name of the festival comes from the Middle Ages, when the hangmen were active here.
