Antonia Stabinger

Antonia Stabinger steps onto the thin ice—despite all warnings. She delights in hearing it crack and glides with her whole body through the current state of the world. Instead of slipping into a warm jacket, she slips back into numerous roles—including, of course, her beloved talking genital, Clit/Doris. With sharp wit, surreal interludes, and music, she takes the audience on a relaxed stroll along the fine line. Along the way, she talks about failure as a strategy, the most absurd paths to power, and even the question of whether it’s a good idea to copy men in order to climb the ladder. After all, everyone should get there! Caught between a lust for power and self-doubt, she asks herself: Even if an iceberg no longer capsizes us: What’s keeping us afloat?
Antonia Stabinger once again proves her talent as a sharp-witted, likable observer of our times, whose characters are as funny as they are revealing. An evening that makes you want to take risks yourself—and laugh uninhibitedly before the ice breaks.
