An exhibition in the Feuerbach district town hall shows the artistic concepts and models of all three project teams.

A new work of art for Wiener Platz?

Wiener Platz in Feuerbach is changing: with the urban redevelopment area Feuerbach 7 - Wiener Platz - a redesign process is being planned that also focuses on artistic perspectives.

As part of the BUNKER.RESONANZ ideas competition, two artistic designs that rethink the cultural significance of Wiener Platz, including the listed access building to the historic underground bunker, have now been awarded prizes.

An exhibition in the Feuerbach district town hall, Wilhelm-Geiger-Platz 10, shows the artistic concepts and models of all three project teams. It can be visited until July 21 during opening hours Mon to Fri, 8.30 am to 1 pm and additionally Tue and Thu 2 pm to 4 pm.

An outdoor exhibition on Wiener Platz and Wilhelm-Geiger-Platz also offers insights into the competition and the ideas submitted.

Creative people from the fields of art, music, architecture and urban planning formed project teams to take part in the competition. In 2024, the jury selected three of these teams from around 20 original submissions to further develop their concepts. Their designs were presented to the public and awarded prizes as part of a district festival:

The concept "Nadelöhr - Resonanzkörper am Wiener Platz" by Eva Dörr, Anna Lehrer, Lena Meinhardt and Aida Nejad was the first-placed idea and was awarded prize money of 3,000 euros. The second prize of 1,000 euros went to Martina Baum, Giuliana Fronte, Stephan Köperl, Markus Vogl and Sylvia Winkler with the concept "WIENER WO? VIENNA WHO? VIENNA HOW?" Third place went to the artist duo "Finding the Wild" (Jazmin Charalambous and Felix Mohr) with the concept "Chromschutz".
