Australien - Ein Jahr Freiheit

Location:
Lindenmuseum Stuttgart, Hegelplatz 1, 70174 Stuttgart

It all started with a dream: to experience a year of true freedom—driving and staying wherever the wind took them—and to get to know the Red Continent in all its diversity.
In the northernmost tip of Australia, photographers Aneta and Dirk Bleyer—who also work with National Geographic and Stern magazine—were exploring adventurous trails in their SUV. They drove across islands made entirely of sand and ventured deep into the red heart of the Outback. The diversity and uniqueness of Australia’s flora and fauna left them truly speechless. Landscapes of surreal beauty, such as pink lakes next to the azure sea, or fluorescent mushrooms and glowing blue surf. Kangaroos on the beach in the south give way to crocodiles in the north.
Heartwarming encounters include those with migrant worker Mr. Campbell, Jeff, who lives on an isolated station, and the Aboriginal people fighting for equality in society.
With plenty of humor, Aneta and Dirk recount their sometimes very adventurous exploits and share fascinating, insightful stories about the country and its people. It’s all topped off with brilliant photography that makes every image a delight and the entire show incredibly entertaining.
Look forward to unique photos, plenty of insider tips, and exciting stories featuring off-road vehicles, airplanes, diving gear, and hiking boots from the Red Continent—and the feeling of a year of true freedom!
