Bis dass der Tod

Location:
Komödie im Marquardt, Bolzstr. 4-6, 70173 Stuttgart

Stefan Vögel *UNTIL DEATH DO US PART* Crime Comedy

Money alone doesn’t bring happiness! Or does it? A dark crime comedy about a lack of trust, grand illusions, and surprising revelations.

When businesswoman Helena realizes that her husband Gregor married her only for her wealth and is financing his lavish lifestyle at her expense, she wants to get rid of him. But since Gregor would receive half of Helena’s fortune in a divorce, she comes up with a plan: Gregor must die.

Gregor, however, has long harbored murderous plans of his own, which he confides to his friend Pascal. But Pascal is not only Helena’s lover; he’s also secretly pursuing his own agenda. The hired hitman, though, turns out to be a complete failure. But that’s not all! Helena’s unconventional cousin Yvette further complicates the course of events.

Author Stefan Vögel, one of today’s most prolific playwrights, became known for intelligent relationship comedies such as “Auf Herz und Niere.” In his first crime comedy, he now exposes the abysses of human relationships with murderous delight.

The play is directed by Frank-Lorenz Engel, who has already won the Audience Award three times for his directing work, including for “Spatz und Engel” and “Seemannsgarn”.

Performances January 22 through March 21, 2027

Starring Patrick Dollmann, Elisabeth Ebner, Alice von Lindenau, Stefan Schneider, Markus Schöttl
Directed by Frank-Lorenz Engel
Set and Costume Design by Tom Grasshof
