BlöZinger

Robert Blöchl and Roland Penzinger, collectively known as "BlöZinger", are a real danger. A danger for untrained dwarf skins and rusty brains. In their program "ERiCH" they address the absurd, the typical and the atypical from the family micro-biotop.

The head of the family, ERiCH, has to die before the two estranged brothers meet again after twenty years - and the rest of the family. The extroverted bon vivant Simon (Penzinger) and the bourgeois bourgeois Jakob (Blöchl) could hardly be more different. Of course, after such a long time, there is already a lot to discuss on the journey in the imaginary car, which is largely held together by chewing gum: Why Aunt Hertha has ordered her husband to keep quiet, Uncle Alfons is on probation and Aunt Trude suffers from social Tourette's syndrome - something is just not right with this family ...

Blöchl and Penzinger throw irony and sarcasm at each other with such force and pointedness that it just cracks you up. This cabaret family saga demands a lot from the audience. They are rewarded with the best, or rather - hilarious - entertainment and a total of twelve (!) different, perfectly acted characters. Blöchl and Penzinger are masters of gestures and facial expressions and only need a minimum of props. Nevertheless, it is not too difficult for the audience to imagine the rest for themselves. Laughing muscles are strained, plain language is spoken, roles are changed - all spiced up with a good pinch of Austrian "Schmäh", of course.

The two Viennese by choice from Linz got to know and appreciate each other during their clowning and acting training. Robert Blöchl and Roland Penzinger have been performing as the duo "BlöZinger" since 2004. For their ingenious theater cabaret programs, they have already been awarded the Austrian Cabaret Prize twice (2013 and 2017), the most prestigious cabaret award in the Alpine Republic.
