Guitar double act: BLUG, GRANFELT & ENGELIEN deliver an unforgettable guitar match "Made In Heaven"
The two outstanding guitarists, Thomas Blug and Ben Granfelt, have a decades-long friendship that began at the Frankfurt Music Fair in the late 1990s. Since then, they have played together time and again, with Thomas even appearing as a guest on Ben's solo album "Melodic Relief" (2012). In 2019, they were invited to tour as part of Martin Engelien's GO MUSIC, which proved to be a great success. Now the fascinating collaboration is entering the next round!
The culmination of their creative symbiosis from this extraordinary experience manifests a joint album, which not only shows impressive musical skills, but also their ability to create harmonious jam sessions and great songs.
Ben Granfelt, who boasts an impressive history of world tours with the likes of Wishbone Ash and the Leningrad Cowboys and 20 solo albums, emphasizes the pleasure he takes in working with Thomas Blug. On stage, the harmonies of their guitars merge into a captivating sound, carried by intense musical dialogs.
