Carrington-Brown

Location:
Renitenztheater, Büchsenstr. 26, 70174 Stuttgart

Let’s lift the veil of oblivion and uncover the unknown truth about CARRINGTON-BROWN: 30 years on stage, 15 years in therapy, and a lifetime of music. Join us on a hilarious yet informative journey.
Last year, Carrington-Brown released the “mockumentary” *Cheers!*. In this cinematic, yet absurd, musical, and very British (gin and tonic) documentary, fans and new viewers alike get a glimpse into the history of this music and comedy duo.
Rebecca Carrington is a virtuoso British cellist and singer who has always loved making people laugh. Colin Brown, her husband, is very British and has a dark sense of humor. He treats us to his beautiful bass voice when he’s not playing the bagpipes or maracas! Of course, Rebecca’s 18th-century cello, Joe—which has now reached the ripe old age of 244—is an essential part of the show.
With their new show “So British,” they bring this story to life on stage, combining clips from the film with their live performance. Two Brits who have been living in Berlin for nearly 20 years celebrate their love of music with a very British sense of humor. In this international show, they not only share what life is like for two Brits in Berlin but also talk and sing about their travels around the world.
Carrington-Brown’s interpretations are as unique as the mark they’ve left on the world of music, offering a rich selection of songs—whether they’re their own compositions or tunes you may have heard before.
