CHRIS de BURGH

The time is right for a new solo tour by Chris de Burgh through Germany! Exactly nine months after his last performances, the singer-songwriter is returning here. The reason for his “comeback” in April 2027 is—as cheesy as it sounds—mutual love: the love shared by his tens of thousands of fans and his own love for the country and its people. In a recent interview, he revealed: “I love the historic cities, especially the castles, palaces, and churches, as well as the German food and the variety of restaurants. Yes, Germany practically feels like my second home!” Another reason why this perennial live favorite is in such high demand here is this: Chris de Burgh stands for quality as both an entertainer and a recording artist, has many of his own hits in his setlist, and consistently receives very positive reviews for his performances. “Chris de Burgh thrilled the audience for more than two hours,” read a July 2026 article in the Rhein-Zeitung. And the Westdeutsche Allgemeine analyzed at the time why it was “an evening full of goosebump-inducing moments”: “The pure reduction to the essentials. No elaborate
stage show, no huge ensemble—just one artist, his voice, and two instruments. And that’s exactly what made it work. Chris de Burgh showed that real music needs no distractions. Anyone who was there experienced an evening they won’t soon forget.”
As early as November 2025, the *Süddeutsche Zeitung* had already picked up on the magic of a Chris de Burgh concert, which has remained undiminished for decades. “Chris de Burgh is—still—a great songwriter and storyteller in his own right. His hit parade (from ‘Lady in Red’ to ‘Don’t Pay The Ferryman’ to ‘Missing You’) proves it.” A fundamental element of his 323 original compositions—written over the course of more than 50 years and released on 26 albums that have sold more than 45 million copies—is this: “De Burgh has something to say; you can understand every word in the songs.” “Legacy” from the musical “Robin Hood” fits right in with this. “It’s a song about heroes like you and me,” he says. “One voice can’t achieve much, but millions can. We call that democracy.”
