To celebrate the occasion, there’s music that was created before and alongside the “Füenf” and Christian’s music comedy solo project: English-language prog rock, jazz, and piano pop. Unconventional, virtuosic, versatile. Dynamic, emotional, groovy. He’s invited some good friends and longtime collaborators to join him: Carsten Netz (sax), Fabian Wendt (bass), Paul Schmitt (drums). As a quartet, they’ll celebrate his songs from the past 35 years. The focus will be primarily on the ’90s and his band “Supper’s Ready.” Will they completely forego humorous songs? Hardly—after all, tragedy and comedy are so close together!
