CREATIONS XVI – XIX

The popular format of the CREATIONS ballet evenings returns to the Schauspielhaus stage with the latest creations that make the dance voices of the present heard.Nnamdi Nwagwu attracted attention with his provocative choreographies at Noverre: Young Choreographers, the Canadian National Ballet and the Paris Opera. His new piece conveys the wild, energetic atmosphere that drives him with its Mediterranean-African influences. The former resident choreographer of the Stuttgart Ballet, Demis Volpi, returns to his former place of work for a new piece. Stories and their power to touch people are at the heart of his work. Stuttgart Ballet's semi-soloist Vittoria Girelli has already proven her choreographic talent on several occasions - most recently on the main stage of the opera house. Inspired by visual art and literature, she has dedicated herself to a new, short and concentrated work. The Italian choreographer duo Sasha Riva and Simone Repele have already thrilled audiences in Stuttgart with La jeune Fille et les Morts. They share a passion for dance, the creative process and storytelling.
