Der Tartüff

- Theater tri-bühne, Eberhardstraße 61A, 70173 Stuttgart
"Tartuffe"—a dark comedy that combines satirical bite with existential and social questions.
A mysterious stranger intrudes on the daily life of a respected family and forces them to confront their darkest sides. With the power of his words and a virtue that is only apparent, Tartuffe succeeds in undermining reason, exploiting faith for his own ends, and distorting fundamental human values.
With his five-act comedy, Molière held up a mirror to hypocrisy and social conventions—in a satire that is as biting as it is timelessly relevant.
The premiere of “Tartuffe” will open the 17th Stuttgart European Theater Festival (SETT 2026); more on this in the coming weeks.
