Deutscher Rotweinpreis: Rotwein-Gala
Duration
240 minutes
On Saturday, November 28, 2026, Stuttgart will be all about German red wine. That’s when VINUM will celebrate the 40th edition of the German Red Wine Award, one of the most traditional and important forums for top-quality red wines from Germany. At the Kursaal in Bad Cannstatt, the competition’s finest wines, award-winning winemakers, wine professionals, connoisseurs, and four decades of German red wine history will come together.
The 2026 German Red Wine Award is thus more than just an awards ceremony. It is an anniversary celebration, a showcase of excellence, an industry gathering, a public festival, and an evening of indulgence—all in one. Forty years of the Red Wine Award also tell the story of forty years of new beginnings, ambition, changing styles, and growing self-confidence. And Stuttgart provides the perfect setting: urban, steeped in tradition, a city that celebrates the good life, and situated in the heart of one of Germany’s most exciting red wine regions.
The German Red Wine Award reaches its climax in the evening with the Red Wine Gala at the Bürgerhaus Kursaal in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt, hosted by VINUM Editor-in-Chief Harald Scholl. With each course, you decide for yourself which of the wines served pairs best with your meal.
Four courses. Twelve magnificent red wines. And the winemakers right there with you.
A culinary evening and personal encounters await you—ones you won’t soon forget.
