Friedrich Schiller’s “Sturm und Drang” drama explores, through the two brothers Karl and Franz Moor, both the power of idealism and the destructive fury of radicalization. Karl, disinherited by his father, joins a band of robbers whose ideals, however, gradually lose all sense of humanity, while Franz, treacherous and scheming, is driven by a personal lust for power.
