Die Räuber

Friedrich Schiller's Sturm und Drang drama uses the two brothers Karl and Franz Moor to explore both the power of idealism and the destructive rage of radicalization. Karl, dispossessed by his father, joins a band of robbers whose ideals lose all humanist measure over time, while Franz is insidiously and schemingly driven by his personal lust for power.
