Friedrich Schiller’s *Sturm und Drang* drama explores, through the two brothers Karl and Franz Moor, both the power of idealism and the destructive fury of radicalization. Karl, disinherited by his father, joins a band of robbers whose ideals, however, gradually lose all sense of humanity, while Franz, treacherous and scheming, is driven by a personal lust for power.
