After several decades and expeditions to more than 120 countries, they’re convinced: the end of the world isn’t happening. Humanity has more solutions than problems. Dirk Steffens is a TV writer, host, and documentary filmmaker. For three decades, he has been sharing knowledge about nature, the environment, and the fascinating interconnections on our planet with a wide audience. Since April, Steffens has been the host of the ARD documentary series “Erlebnis Erde.” TV shows like “Terra X” brought him to the attention of a broad audience. Since 2022, he has also been working as an expert for RTL and “GEO.” Together with his wife, Sabine, they have reached an audience of millions with their podcast “Kettenreaktion.”
Dr. Sabine Steffens holds a Ph.D. in biology and is a science journalist and filmmaker. She worked for many years as a science journalist at ZDF, and since 2022 she has headed the editorial team at GEO Documentaries. Together with her husband, Dirk Steffens, she produces nature documentaries and the “Kettenreaktion” podcast, and is now also touring with him.
