Coupled with a fiery temperament and delicious humor, the piece makes the hearts of connoisseurs and amateurs alike beat faster. Traditionally, the clumsy nobleman Don Quixote is the title character in this international ballet classic. But the story revolves around the fun-loving Kitri and the daredevil Basilio, who want to marry against their parents' wishes and fight for their happiness. With the help of Don Quixote and his faithful servant Sancho Panza, they overcome many an adventure until finally nothing stands in the way of their love. The world-famous novel, written over 400 years ago, has inspired numerous choreographers.
