When Beethoven and Turina meet Piazzolla, the grand master of “Tango Nuevo,” a spirited musical fireworks display is guaranteed! In the “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires,” tango rhythms blend with elements of European Baroque music that Astor Piazzolla encountered during his trip to Paris and while studying with Nadia Boulanger. It is the pulse of Buenos Aires that lives within it. Equally vibrant, brilliant, and rich in timbre is the piano trio by the famous Spanish composer Joaquín Turina. In keeping with the approaching spring, Beethoven’s “Spring Sonata” will then be performed. A musical journey across two continents, full of passion, depth of sound, temperament, and richness.
