EALA SYMPOSION Tour 2027

EALA invites you to the SYMPOSION.
In the original sense of the word, a symposium is a gathering for drinking and thinking together. In Plato’s
work, men sit at a table and discuss love and the good life. The wisest female voice of the
evening belongs to Diotima. Yet she does not sit at the table. Socrates speaks for her.
A good two and a half thousand years later, EALA flips the seating arrangement.
The SYMPOSION tour in March 2027 brings the female voice to the table—and hands her the
microphone. The name says it all: People come together. There’s music, conversation,
drinking, arguing, and dancing. Here, too, it’s about excess. But not about intoxication as an end in itself. It’s
about what rises to the surface in the midst of intoxication.
EALA makes music about contradictions. About the beauty in ugliness and the ugliness in beauty.
About love when it hurts. About fear of the future, even when we’re actually dancing. About what
we’ve inherited from our parents and mistakenly took to be our own voice.
Their songs take these things seriously. Themselves, not always.
Love and power. Feminism. Family, generational trauma. Desire. Shame. The future. The old
questions in a new wave.
EALA doesn’t provide answers.
She puts them out there, brings them into the spotlight… and the concert becomes a symposium. Music,
conversation, performance, and the audience belong together. Perspectives are allowed to clash.
Contradictions are allowed to stand. You’re allowed to question things. You’re allowed to change your mind.
And you’re allowed to dance to it.
This simultaneity has accompanied EALA from the very beginning. In the four-part live series “Leergut Sessions,”
she brought twelve musicians together and demonstrated early on that her songs are conceived on a larger scale than the classic
singer-songwriter framework.
With her fantastic live band, she played support shows for acts like RIAN, Ok.Danke.Tschüss, Marlo
Grosshardt, and TIAVO, as well as numerous festival appearances and her first tour. The encounters on
and behind the stage have since given rise to musical collaborations: Together with Marlo
Grosshardt, EALA released the single “Kleinstadtpropaganda” in 2026. A feature track
was also created with TIAVO. These collaborations show where EALA fits within the current German-language
music scene: between alternative pop, rock, and a new generation of
artists who don’t confuse taking a stand with a lack of humor.

As early as 2022, EALA was honored at the “Treffen junge Musikszene” (Young Music Scene Gathering) hosted by the Berliner Festspiele and was selected for
the Popkurs program at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater. In July 2024, she
won the Panik Prize from the Udo Lindenberg Foundation together with her band.
Finally, in November 2026, her debut album “manchmal.oft.immer” will be released. The first half of the album,
“Manchmal.Oft.”, has already been released and offers a taste of an album that doesn’t seek to
resolve EALA’s contradictions but rather to live them out to the fullest.
