Being young is not a matter of age, but of the heart. Experience familiar members of our theater company portraying their older selves—in a hit play that has been thrilling theater audiences across the country.
Stuttgart in the year 2077. The Alte Schauspielhaus has since become a retirement home for former actors, and the stage serves as their common room. Here, former audience favorites like Ralf Stech, Ursula Berlinghof, and Reinhold Weiser meet and revel in memories. They haven’t lost any of their passion or zest for life, even if their bones now creak and their dentures rattle.
If it weren’t for Nurse Sorina, who constantly reminds the old-timer stars of their approaching end and forces them to sing children’s songs and clap their hands. But as soon as she leaves the room, anarchy and joie de vivre reign supreme—there’s flirting, dancing, and above all, singing.
To the tunes of “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” and “Born to Be Wild,” the seniors make the theater shake with their energy. Look forward to numerous rock and pop classics, as well as dark humor with a dash of melancholy.
The play is directed by Murat Yeginer, who broke attendance records with “Istanbul” and has already been awarded our Audience Choice Award twice.
