Queer Perspectives in the Permanent Collection
What stories do museums tell—and which ones often go untold? Join this special guided tour to explore the exhibition intervention “More Than One Reality” and experience the regional and cultural history of Württemberg from new perspectives.
Through selected objects and historical sources, familiar narratives are examined, and realities of life that have been largely overlooked or invisible are brought to light. Learn how archaeological finds can be interpreted in different ways, why so little is known about Charles Woodcock—King Charles’s closest confidant—and how queer perspectives broaden our understanding of history.
This guided tour invites you to discover gaps in historical accounts, critically examine existing narratives, and experience history as a multifaceted reality.
Here’s what to expect:
- New insights into the regional and cultural history of Württemberg
- Queer perspectives on historical figures and objects
- Background information on archaeological finds and their interpretation
- Inspiring food for thought and discussion on historiography and the culture of remembrance
