For Anna's father, the quest for crispy potato gold is the greatest fulfillment. His partner Mimi, on the other hand, struggles with her job at the chip fryer and dreams of a different life. When Anna unexpectedly returns to the small-town prefabricated housing estate before graduating and a planned shopping center threatens the existence of the chip shop, many things are turned upside down.
