After conquering Bavaria’s major stages with his performances, Helmut Binser now presents his eagerly awaited follow-up show, “BUMM,” in which the familiar characters from his previous shows reunite and embark on new adventures together.
Thematically, Binser’s work revolves around life in the countryside and the daily interactions of village folk. His quirky stage characters and their escapades drive the delighted audience to uncontrollable fits of laughter and thunderous applause.
Surely it’s happened to you, too—that you’ve seen Helmut Binser on your smartphone at an inopportune moment and had to burst out laughing. At a fast-food restaurant, or on your motorcycle, or at an orthopedic conference. You probably felt uncomfortable under the stares of others. Just as you were heartily amused by Bolzenberte and 3-Finger-Done, you were immediately met with disapproving glances from those in the dark. Don’t worry—there’s a solution, of course: Just go to a Binser show. There, you can laugh uninhibitedly along with the other audience members without anyone giving you a disapproving look. After all, laughter is good for your health.
Helmut A. Binser grew up in the tranquil town of Runding. Living right next to the Liederbühne Robinson—one of Bavaria’s oldest cabaret venues—has clearly done the Upper Palatinate native a world of good.
