Who hasn’t experienced the anticipation of waiting for the first snow of winter? “Winter is beautiful,” the buck told Mr. Eichhorn. “Snowflakes fall from the sky, and everything turns white.” That’s why Mr. Eichhorn decides to wait for the first snowflake this year. No easy feat for a squirrel who’s used to hibernating. Mr. Eichhorn has slept through every winter so far, but this time he has to stay awake so he doesn’t miss the first snowflake. “But winter is taking its time…” Mr. Eichhorn is forced to overcome his hibernation instincts. Together with the hedgehog and the bear, he sets off on an adventurous search for the first snowflake.
