Ian Hooper - On Tour April 2027

Ian Hooper, singer and frontman of the indie folk band Mighty Oaks, announces his own tour for April 2027. It kicks off on April 10 with the release of his haunting version of "Nose on the Grindstone" (original by Tyler Childers).

The song was first performed as part of TV Noir - where cover versions are traditionally part of the concept - and quickly became a fan favorite on tour. The demand for an official release grew steadily. To coincide with the start of his support shows for Johannes Oerding (arena tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland), a reduced piano and strings version of the song is now being released. In contrast to the guitar-driven original, Hooper focuses on voice and emotion - raw, direct and approachable.

The release marks the beginning of the next phase: a new Mighty Oaks album and the band tour in fall 2026 will be followed by further solo releases leading directly to his own tour in April 2027.
