In Extremo & Feuerschwanz - Today the Sky Will Burn - 2027 Tour

Two bands, two generations, one shared history—and in 2027, side by side on tour for the first time: In Extremo and Feuerschwanz are embarking on a major co-headlining tour titled “HEUTE WIRD DER HIMMEL BRENNEN TOUR 2027.”
When In Extremo began combining historical instruments with rock and metal in the mid-1990s, it gave rise to an entirely new musical direction. What began as a bold experiment back then evolved into one of the most successful movements in the German-speaking rock scene. Today, Feuerschwanz are among the most exciting acts in this genre. With their unmistakable blend of folk, metal, and tongue-in-cheek epicness, they have conquered Europe’s biggest stages in recent years and successfully carried the foundation once laid by In Extremo into the next generation with their very own signature style.
For the first time, both bands are now touring together as equal co-headliners. Their paths have crossed time and again over the years—now two bands that have shaped and evolved medieval rock in different ways are coming together.

Each evening features two full-length headlining shows. In Extremo and Feuerschwanz will perform their greatest classics, current songs, and the occasional joint surprise. Add to that everything that has made both bands among Europe’s most extraordinary live acts for years: elaborate productions, historical instruments, a spectacular fire and pyrotechnics show, and an atmosphere that brings thousands of people together night after night.
The evening will be opened by the Italian band Ragnarök; the duo blends Norse mythology, traditional folk sounds, and modern arrangements into an atmospheric musical experience, transporting the audience into the world of Vikings, sagas, and ancient legends through epic narratives.

The “HEUTE WIRD DER HIMMEL BRENNEN TOUR 2027” is more than just a concert tour. It showcases just how vibrant and diverse a musical genre has become—one that has been bringing together people of all generations for over three decades. Where tradition meets the present, the result is not nostalgia, but new energy. When In Extremo and Feuerschwanz tour together, it becomes clear just how far this journey has taken them—and that it is far from over.
