We provide information and contact for advice and help on Linux as an alternative to Windows. We want to maintain computers and keep them usable for as long as possible. Even after the end of Windows 10 support in October 2025, you usually won't need a new computer.

* Advice on switching to Linux.
Based on your specific requirements, we can advise you on whether and how a switch is possible. We can use a live system on your PC to show you what Linux looks like without installing it.
* Demo PCs. We have a number of demo PCs for you to try out Linux on.
* Help with installing Linux. Our recommendation is Linux Mint Cinnamon (currently 22.2), as it is widely used, stable and mature. It also offers a German interface, good support for accessibility and is well suited for Windows switchers
* Replacing the HDD with an SSD Older PCs often still have a conventional hard disk installed. If necessary, we recommend installing an SSD to increase performance.
* Advice on hardware and software If you have any questions or problems with Linux installation or applications, you are welcome to come to us. We will then try to find a solution together with you.
